Terms of Service

These Terms are an agreement between you and Forest Hill Labs LLC (“Retenta,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of retenta.ai and the Retenta platform. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

Retenta provides writable semantic memory for AI agents — capsules you can build, query, write to, version, and export over an MCP server and REST API. We provide the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may change or improve features over time.

Accounts and keys

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your API keys secret. Keys are shown once, scoped, and revocable — revoke a key you believe is compromised. You must provide accurate account information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Your content and ownership

You own the content you put into your capsules. You grant us only the limited license needed to host, process, index, retrieve, and back up that content in order to provide the service. You can export your capsules at any time in an open format, and you can delete content subject to the retention and evidence-preservation terms in ourPrivacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. We scan for and act on the narrow set of illegal content described there, including cooperation with law enforcement.

Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance for the stated period. We meter usage against your plan's quota; we warn at 80% and prompt to upgrade at 110%, and we do not silently bill you past your plan. If you exceed your limit or a payment lapses, affected capsules become read-only rather than being deleted, and your data remains exportable. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or as required by law. Except where we must preserve evidence or meet a legal obligation, your data remains available for export for a reasonable period after termination.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Answer quality can vary by engine and content, and you are responsible for how you use answers your agents produce. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
