Cloudflare Platform

A product-selection router: it maps a stated need (uploads, background jobs, document search, agents, etc.) to Cloudflare products via a need-to-product table and bundled per-product references (AI Gateway, AI Search, Analytics Engine and many more), then tells the agent to load the specific skill or docs. It recommends Workers + Static Assets for all new sites, and if the project uses the beta `cf` CLI (`cloudflare.config.ts`) it switches the agent away from Wrangler guidance to the `cf` docs.

Editorial assessment

This is a source-only assessment. It does not claim runtime or security testing.

What it does

A routing layer, not an implementation guide: it turns a plain-language need such as uploads or background jobs into a few Cloudflare products, then hands off to a sibling skill or docs page.

Best for

  • Early architecture conversations where the user describes a goal but has not picked Cloudflare products
  • Choosing between close neighbors such as D1 vs Durable Objects, Queues vs Workflows, or AI Search vs Vectorize plus Workers AI
  • Projects that may use the beta cf CLI, since it checks for cloudflare.config.ts before giving any Wrangler guidance

Strengths in the source

  • A need-to-product table of roughly 95 rows, each with a 'when to choose it' column that names the deciding requirement rather than just the product.
  • Tells the agent to stop following Wrangler guidance and switch to the cf CLI docs when the project has a cloudflare.config.ts file.
  • Sets explicit defaults: Workers plus Static Assets for every new site, Workers Cache before the Cache API or KV, and preserving existing Pages deployments.
  • Asks the agent to check current availability, limits, and pricing before promising a fit, and to recommend only the pieces the request needs.

Limitations

  • Most depth lives in a large bundled references tree and in sibling skills; installing this file alone gives the map without the detail behind each row.
  • Several rows point to closed-beta or preview products (Artifacts, the cf CLI), so recommendations can change faster than the pinned copy.
  • It is written by the vendor and only surfaces Cloudflare options, so it will not weigh a non-Cloudflare service against them.

When not to use it

  • When the product is already chosen and the task is implementation; load the product-specific skill instead.
  • When you need a vendor-neutral comparison across cloud providers.
